Julian Knight MP has signed the Book of Commitment to honour and commemorate the millions murdered during the Holocaust.
The Book, organised by the Holocaust Educational Trust, is also a tribute to the extraordinary work tirelessly to education the next generation about the horrors of the Nazi regime.
It was organised ahead of Holocaust Memorial Day, the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp by Allied forces.
Commenting after he signed, Julian said:
“Holocaust Memorial Day provides an important opportunity for all of us to reflect on the tragedy and monstrosity of the Holocaust. I’m very proud to pledge my support, this year and every year, to everybody who works to ensure that each new generation is taught about it and the crimes of the Nazis are never forgotten.
“For me, the memory of the Holocaust is a call to action, a constant reminder of how important it is to stand up to those who peddle hate at home, and inflict murder and terror abroad.
“Ever since being elected to represent Solihull I have been so proud of our generous and pro-active approach towards helping refugees and asylum seekers, and I have always spoken up strongly for the good our aid and Armed Forces can do around the world.
“Only by carrying the lessons of the Holocaust with us can we mean it when we say: Never Again.”
