Julian Knight MP is giving his support to ‘wear it pink’, a new fundraising campaign by Breast Cancer Now (BCN).
On Friday 21st October individuals and groups are encouraged to don pink clothes, raise awareness, and donate to the charity.
Last year it raised more than £2 million, which helps to fund the £26 million that BCN currently putting towards ground-breaking research, supporting nearly 400 researchers across more than 30 institutions.
Julian Knight said:
“I’m very pleased to be able to support Breast Cancer Now’s fundraising campaign. Cancer is a terrible illness, and it isn’t difficult for us all to make a contribution that could make a real difference.
“The prospect of a world where everybody diagnosed with breast cancer survives is an incredibly hopeful one, and campaigners believe that it could be here by 2050 if we act now. I hope that Solihull residents will join me in digging out some pink clothes and getting involved.”
