Julian Knight MP has taken action to end disruption to local bus services after complaints from constituents about the dilapidated condition of stops on New Road, which was causing the Number 5 bus to miss the stop.
Centro, the company which operates the service, has moved to ensure that drivers were informed and the service stopped as it should. Julian has also secured the installation of improved signage and new bus stops on New Road.
Commenting on the improvements, Julian said:
“Public transport is a vital service to many people in Solihull, and I am very pleased to have been able to work with Centro to help restore a reliable service and improved facilities on New Road. Taking up issues on behalf of local residents can be some of the most rewarding work for a Member of Parliament.”
