According to figures from the Department for Education, 14 out of 24 primary schools in the Solihull constituency have seen a year-on-year increase in the number of pupils achieving the expected standard in reading, writing, and mathematics at Key Stage 2 tests. These are:

There was also an average national increase from 61% to 64% this year, despite the Government introducing tough new standards to bring England into line with best-performing education systems elsewhere.
Commenting on the news, Julian Knight said:
“We are very lucky in Solihull to have so many excellent schools, and I hope that both pupils and teachers are proud of the way they have risen to the challenge of the new standards. Reading, writing, and arithmetic are the foundations for success in secondary school, and these figures represent brighter futures for hundreds of local children.”
