Julian Knight MP wants to encourage as many local voluntary, community, and charitable groups as possible to bid for grants from a new fund.
The Aviva Community Fund plans to support 500 local projects across the United Kingdom, with grants ranging from £1,000 to £25,000. Projects can be entered into one of three categories: Environment, Health & Wellbeing, or Skills for Life.
After the close of nominations on October 9th, voting will be opened to the public, who will be able to choose which projects qualify for funding. For more information visit https://www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk.
Speaking about the fund, Julian said:
“Solihull is a town with a really strong voluntary spirit. So much of what makes our town such a great place to live is down to all the people who give up their time and energy to run charities, community clubs, sports teams, and much more.
“The Aviva Community Fund is a fantastic opportunity for local projects to apply for the cash they need to go that extra mile. I hope that as many local people as possible will register their projects – and make sure to get their friends and family to vote.”
