Julian Knight MP has thanked the Heart of England Community Foundation for disbursing over £45,000 in grants to 19 different organisations during the Covid-19 crisis.
They launched the Coronavirus Resilience Appeal on 18th March 2020, raising funds from individuals, businesses, and trusts to create a Coronavirus Resilience Fund.
Since March, this has spent £46,210 in Solihull, with an average grant size of £5,134. Beneficiaries include Age UK Solihull, Solihull Samaritans, and the Solihull Moors Foundation.
Commenting on the scheme, Julian Knight said:
“This pandemic has been a difficult time for many, and voluntary groups are playing a vital role in helping the vulnerable and the wider community. I’m extremely grateful to everyone at HECF for helping to put together this special fund and support so many worthy causes.”
