Julian Knight, the Conservative candidate for Solihull, has been speaking at local schools and colleges to mark Parliament Week, which was held from the 14th to the 20th November to encourage young people to get involved in politics.
Julian visited Sixth Forms at Tudor Grange School, Solihull Sixth Form College and Solihull College and spoke about democracy, his life as a candidate and took dozens of questions on modern politics and policy.
Students were delighted to be able to put their questions to Julian and remarked that he was approachable and straightforward.
Julian said of his experience: "I was delighted to have the opportunity to go to these schools and colleges and and talk not only about politics but to hear the views of our young people here in Solihull on many different issues. I wasn't given an easy ride by the pupils but I was really impressed with the range of questions, the intelligence and the compassion of the students."
