The bombing in Manchester and the subsequent loss of life is an outrage which has left our nation shocked and deeply saddened.
The pure evil that possesses an individual to commit this crime is almost beyond comprehension. Targeting innocent children and parents having a great time, enjoying music, what can be said?
We must be resolute against terror, support the families of the victims and those who now face life changing injuries. I would like to pay tribute, as have many others, to our emergency services and the incredible individuals working for the NHS.
The people of Manchester have been magnificent opening their homes, giving lifts and helping out in so many different ways, and have shown a clear example which will be followed by the rest of our country we will not be cowed by this act of terror.
We have faced such evil before and we will prevail because of our decency and our fortitude.
