Yesterday was ‘National thank a teacher day’ and I want to pass on my thanks to all teachers and school staff who work with young people across Solihull. The last two years have been tough for those working within schools and Coronavirus has created additional pressures in delivering a unique educational experience for local children.
However, it has been made very clear to me that teachers and school staff across Solihull have really stepped up and gone above and beyond for our students. I know of staff who travelled in their spare time to deliver laptops to students who desperately needed IT equipment, and I know the staff at Reynolds Cross School actually worked during the weekends to give children additional support. I am sure I could come across so many more examples of great work carried out over the last year.
So from me, and on behalf of my Solihull constituents, thank you! You’re all amazing and you should be very proud of the work you are doing for young people across Solihull.
