Dear resident,
As I speak to constituents across Solihull, I feel that our communities are divided. From dealing with the Brexit impasse to coming out of the Coronavirus pandemic which caused misery on our lives, our country has been through a lot. We need serious and decisive Government that can deal with the challenges that lie ahead for our nation.
Crucially, in the coming weeks and months ahead, we need a Leader that can bring about real solutions to solve the situation with the cost of living, defeat Putin’s barbaric regime and take us back to a low tax economy. To achieve this, we need a Leader with clear experience on the Cabinet table and who can unify our nation together. For this reason, I have decided to give my support to Liz Truss.
Liz Truss is the candidate in this race with the most Cabinet experience and has a proven track record in seizing the opportunities that Brexit has afforded us. As International Trade Secretary, she led the UK’s post-Brexit trade negotiations and managed to strike 68 trade deals, in turn bringing £744 billion worth of investment into the UK. Likewise, Liz has represented Britain on the global stage as Foreign Secretary, bringing about hundreds of sanctions on Putin’s barbaric regime in Russia following the Kremlin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine.
But, on the domestic front, I believe we now need to go back to low tax economy. Britain now has the highest tax burden for 70 years, and with the unprecedented situation we face with the cost of living, I know this is becoming a real challenge for people in Solihull. Liz Truss has already promised to reverse the national insurance increases upon taking office, a real commitment that demonstrates Liz will deliver action rather than words.
Liz can re-unite our country and as your local Member of Parliament, I hope I have outlined why I believe Liz Truss will make the best Prime Minister to serve the interests of residents in Solihull.
Kind regards,
Julian.
